FORT WORTH- Major US carrier American Airlines (AA) will increase capacity across its long-haul network during the Northern Winter 2025/2026 season, spanning October 26, 2025, through March 28, 2026, according to Ishrion Aviation.
American Airlines, a member of the Oneworld alliance, operates an extensive global network reaching 356 total destinations as of March 2025.
The carrier serves 227 domestic locations throughout the United States, providing comprehensive coverage of major cities, regional centers, and popular vacation spots across the country. The airline’s international footprint encompasses 129 destinations distributed across 61 countries.

American Airlines Adds Capacity on Int’l Routes
Following are the routes which gets additional capacity:
- The Miami to Buenos Aires route will gain a fourth daily flight starting December 18, enhancing connectivity between the United States and Argentina.
- Service between Dallas and Sao Paulo will increase from seven to ten weekly flights beginning December 3, strengthening the airline’s presence in the Brazilian market.
- American Airlines will extend its Dallas to Dublin seasonal service, originally scheduled to end in October 2025, through early January 2026, providing additional transatlantic options through the holiday season.
- The carrier will resume service between Dallas and Kona on November 20 with a daily Boeing 787-8 flight, restoring a route last operated in early 2022 that was initially planned to relaunch in December 2024.
- The Los Angeles to Auckland route will see an equipment upgrade from the Boeing 787-8 to the larger Boeing 777-200ER starting December 3, increasing capacity on this transpacific connection.
- Philadelphia to Athens service will continue beyond its planned October conclusion until November 18, extending the seasonal route by several weeks.

American Airlines will also significantly expand its transatlantic presence for Summer 2025, operating more than 70 daily flights connecting the United States with key European destinations. The airline’s robust European schedule will serve 17 major cities across the continent.
The expanded network includes service to Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Dublin, Frankfurt, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Naples, Nice, Paris, Rome, Venice, and Zurich.
