Delta at Incheon International Airport

Incheon International Airport (ICN) serves as the cornerstone of Delta Air Lines’ (DL) Asia-Pacific operations, connecting the US to major destinations across Asia.

Thanks to Delta’s joint venture (JV) with Korean Air (KE), passengers benefit from seamless integration, offering unparalleled access to 290 destinations in the Americas and 80 in Asia.

This partnership facilitates 18 daily flights, transporting over 2,000 passengers and ensuring a consistent, high-quality travel experience.

In 2024, Incheon Airport was Asia’s top hub airport, welcoming approximately 70 million connecting passengers, including 2.61 million on routes to the Americas. Its high transfer rate of 36.1% highlights its efficiency as a global transit hub.

Delta’s strong presence at ICN is set to grow with the addition of a new nonstop route from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) in June 2025.

This route, operating seven times weekly, will establish SLC as the only US airport directly connected to Asia, increasing Delta’s weekly flights to ICN from 35 to 42.

By combining Delta’s extensive connectivity with ICN’s cutting-edge infrastructure, passengers enjoy enhanced travel options and a streamlined experience.

This collaboration strengthens global connectivity, ensuring ICN and Delta remain at the forefront of international air travel.

Incheon Expansions

In December 2024, ICN expanded Terminal 2 and added a new runway, increasing its annual flight capacity from 500,000 to 600,000 flights.

The airport’s overall capacity now accommodates up to 160 million passengers annually, ensuring smooth operations even during peak travel seasons.

State-of-the-art innovations, such as autonomous transportation and simplified kiosk-based check-in processes, elevate passenger convenience.

The introduction of Smart Pass technology, which utilizes facial recognition for immigration procedures, has cut wait times by 40%, offering a seamless travel experience.

ICN goes beyond its role as a transit hub by creating a memorable passenger experience. Travelers can enjoy cultural immersion through the Korean Traditional Culture Center and an open-air park.

The airport’s ‘Art-Port’ initiative features curated art spaces that blend travel with creativity, offering passengers a moment of tranquility amidst their journeys.
