ANA Orders 77 New Aircrafts from Airbus, Boeing and Embraer

TOKYO- ANA Holdings Inc. has announced a major fleet expansion, placing orders for 77 new aircraft from Airbus, Boeing, Embraer. This includes 68 confirm orders and 9 options across multiple aircraft types, reinforcing its long-term growth strategy.

The new aircraft will enhance international and domestic operations, with a focus on fuel efficiency and operational flexibility. The order includes Boeing 787-9s for international routes, Embraer E190-E2s for domestic operations, and Airbus A321XLRs for Peach Aviation.

ANA Orders 77 New Aircrafts

ANA Holdings latest aircraft order aims to support sustainable growth, optimize fleet efficiency, and expand operations.

By FY2030, the airline group expects to operate approximately 320 aircraft, with fuel-efficient models comprising 91% of its fleet.

This move aligns with ANAHD’s commitment to environmental sustainability and cost optimization.

Expansion of International Routes

To meet increasing demand on Asia-North America routes and the re-expansion of Narita International Airport (NRT), ANA HD has ordered 18 Boeing 787-9 aircraft with GE engines.

These aircraft will enhance the airline’s global reach, with international seat capacity projected to grow 1.5 times by FY2030 compared to FY2023.

Domestic Fleet Modernization

For domestic routes, ANA HD will introduce 20 Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, marking the first use of this model in Japan.

These 100 seat class jets feature advanced engines that lower fuel consumption and noise emissions.

The new fleet will help ANA HD maintain a flexible supply demand balance and reduce operational costs. Deployment is scheduled to begin in FY2028.

Enhancing Peach Aviation Operations

Peach Aviation, ANA HD’s low cost carrier, will upgrade its fleet with 10 Airbus A321neo aircraft and 3 Airbus A321XLR aircraft.

These fuel-efficient, long-range jets will support the airline’s expansion and enhance cost efficiency.

Additional Orders for Fleet Renewal

ANA HD will also add 14 Airbus A321neo and 12 Boeing 737-8 aircraft (8 confirmed orders and 4 options) to update its current fleet.

Additionally, it has finalized options for 5 Boeing 787-9 aircraft and 10 Boeing 737-8 aircraft from previous commitments.
