PARIS- Air France (AF) is set to launch direct flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and Nice (NCE) in May 2025, aligning with major events like the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix.
This seasonal service provides a convenient connection for travelers heading to the French Riviera.
In addition, the airline will operate special flights between New York (JFK) and Nice (NCE) for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
These services expand Air France’s transatlantic network and reinforce its commitment to serving key international events.

Air France (AF) will operate direct flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Nice (NCE) in May 2025, offering a seamless travel experience for passengers attending major cultural and sporting events on the French Riviera. The flight details are as follows:
Flight Schedule (Local Time):
- May 12, 2025: Flight AF041 departs Los Angeles at 13:15, arriving in Nice at 09:40 the following day.
- May 26, 2025: Flight AF040 departs Nice at 13:55, arriving in Los Angeles at 16:55 the same day.
This seasonal route allows travelers from the U.S. West Coast to reach Nice directly, eliminating the need for layovers and offering a convenient option for attending world-renowned events such as the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix.
The flights will be operated using Air France’s Airbus A350, featuring the airline’s latest travel cabins:
- Business Class: Fully lie-flat beds (almost 2 meters long) with sliding doors for privacy.
- Premium Economy: Recliner seats with a 121° recline and a 48-cm seat pan for enhanced comfort.
- Economy Class: Ergonomic seat design with 79 cm of legroom and a 119° recline.
- In-Flight Entertainment: High-definition touchscreen displays and onboard Wi-Fi for all passengers.
The Airbus A350 is a fuel-efficient aircraft, reducing CO2 emissions by 25% compared to older models, while also cutting noise pollution by 40%.

- June 14, 2025: Flight AF043 departs New York-JFK at 16:35, arriving in Nice at 06:30 the next day.
- June 19, 2025: Flight AF042 departs Nice at 11:55, arriving in New York-JFK at 14:40 the same day.
