The Lufthansa Group plans to hire 10,000 new employees in 2025, spanning diverse roles such as flight attendants, ground staff, technical experts, and administrative professionals.
Notably, more than 50% of these hires will be based in Germany, underscoring the company’s commitment to strengthening its core operations in its home market.
Key areas of recruitment include:
- Flight Attendants: Over 2,000 new hires.
- Ground Operations Staff: More than 1,400 personnel.
- Technical Experts: Around 1,300 professionals.
- Administrative Roles: Approximately 1,200 employees.
- Pilots: Nearly 800 new recruits.
Lufthansa Technik alone will onboard over 2,000 employees, while subsidiaries Austrian Airlines and Eurowings aim to hire approximately 700 staff members each.
This comprehensive recruitment reflects the Group’s proactive approach to meeting growing operational demands and maintaining service excellence.
In alignment with its Turnaround efficiency program, Lufthansa Airlines (LH) plans to hire around 1,200 employees in 2025. This figure marks a reduction compared to 2024, as the airline focuses on optimizing resources while ensuring operational continuity.
