DUBAI– Emirates (EK) will add 8 more routes for its Boeing 777 Retrofit Programme, starting June 1st, 2025. The new Emirates Boeing 777 has four different cabin classes.
The redesigned aircraft highlights a special Premium Economy section and a carefully planned Business Class area. Business Class seats are arranged in a 1-2-1 layout, giving passengers privacy and easy access to the aisle. Each refreshed Boeing 777 will include 24 Premium Economy seats and 260 Economy Class seats.

Emirates Fleet Retrofitting
Before this expansion, Emirates (EK) had been systematically upgrading its Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 fleet, investing approximately US$5 billion to deliver an unparalleled passenger experience.
The airline’s ambitious retrofit programme has been progressing at an impressive pace, with one aircraft receiving a complete interior renovation every three weeks.

The refurbished Boeing 777 showcases a sophisticated four-class configuration, featuring:
- Signature Premium Economy section
- Redesigned Business Class with 1-2-1 seat arrangement
- 24 Premium Economy seats

Route Expansion
The airline’s strategic retrofit deployment will cover key international routes, enhancing passenger comfort across multiple continents. Starting 1 June 2025, Emirates will introduce upgraded Boeing 777 services to the following destinations:
Europe
- Lisbon, Portugal: Flights EK 191/192 and EK 193/194 will feature refreshed cabins
- Dublin, Ireland: New Business and Premium Economy cabins on EK 161/162
- London Stansted: Second daily service with refurbished Boeing 777 on EK 067/068
Asian
- Hong Kong, SAR: Retrofitted Boeing 777 on EK 382/383
- Maldives: Enhanced interiors on EK 658/659, EK 656/657, and EK 660/661
- Kolkata, India: Four weekly flights (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) on EK 572/573
Africa
- Colombo, Sri Lanka: Daily EK 650/651 flights with refreshed interiors
- Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa: Introduction of Premium Economy and updated Business Class on daily services EK 765/766, EK 761/762, and EK 770/771

Emirates (EK) aims to serve 44 cities with its fleet of refurbished Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft by September 2025.
