ATLANTA- Delta Air Lines (DL), based in Atlanta, is expanding its fast, free Wi-Fi to most transatlantic routes, including flights to Europe, Israel, and West Africa, with plans to extend coverage to South America soon.

Delta has begun equipping its regional jets, starting with the CRJ-700, with fast, free Wi-Fi, bringing high-speed internet access to even more passengers.

A dual-network solution will enhance Wi-Fi performance on Delta’s Boeing 717 fleet, setting a new standard for in-flight internet. Future aircraft, including the A350-1000 and A321neo, will feature advanced connectivity options as part of Delta’s next-generation onboard experience.

Delta Free Wi-Fi Service

Delta’s ambitious Wi-Fi rollout reaches a pivotal moment in April 2025, with fast, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi now live on most transatlantic routes.

Travelers travelling across the Atlantic to destinations in Europe, Israel, and West Africa can stay connected from gate to gate, a feat made possible through Delta’s partnership with T-Mobile.

This follows the successful completion of free Wi-Fi deployment across Delta’s domestic mainline fleet, showcasing the airline’s commitment to industry-leading connectivity.

The expansion doesn’t stop there. Delta plans to bring this service to South American routes later this spring, ensuring more passengers experience uninterrupted internet access.

Meanwhile, closer to home, the airline began outfitting its fleet of over 400 regional jets with free Wi-Fi, starting with a CRJ-700 this spring. This move broadens connectivity for shorter-haul flights, making it a game-changer for customers on regional routes.

Innovative Dual-Network Connectivity

Delta is enhancing in-flight internet with a first-of-its-kind dual-network connectivity solution. This advanced system enables simultaneous connections to multiple networks, optimizing performance for passengers.

The Boeing 717 fleet will be the first to receive this upgrade, delivering:

  • Faster browsing speeds and seamless streaming.
  • Enhanced connectivity across all personal devices.
  • A more reliable in-flight internet experience, even in high-demand conditions.

The dual-network retrofitting is set to begin in Q4 2025, with the entire Boeing 717 fleet expected to be equipped by early 2026.

This upgrade ensures a consistent and high-quality internet experience for Delta passengers, whether on short-haul or long-haul flights.

  • Streaming access to Paramount+ for entertainment on demand.
  • Real-time flight updates and travel inspiration.
  • Exclusive shopping opportunities via Delta’s onboard marketplace.
