SINGAPORE- One of the World’s best carriers, Singapore Airlines (SQ), will reintroduce First Class service to Amsterdam (AMS) in July 2026, after a 10-year absence. The carrier will deploy its Boeing 777-300ER fleet, restoring a 4-class configuration on the route.

From 1st July 2026, flight SQ324 will depart daily from Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), with SQ323 returning from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) starting 2nd July 2026. This marks a significant upgrade from the Airbus A350-900 Long Haul currently operating the service.

First Class Returns to Amsterdam

Singapore Airlines (SQ) is upgrading its daily Singapore to Amsterdam route with the Boeing 777-300ER, reinstating a dedicated First Class cabin from July 2026.

This development brings back a premium travel option for the first time since May 2016, when the route transitioned to the Airbus A350-900 Long Haul, eliminating First Class service.

The Boeing 777-300ER features a 4-class layout, including First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy.

The return of First Class aligns with the airline’s broader network adjustments, which also see changes on the London Heathrow (LHR) route, where one daily 777-300ER will be replaced by an Airbus A350.

Reported by Mainly Miles, this reallocation is likely designed to showcase the carrier’s refreshed Business Class product on the competitive London market while preserving First Class access for Europe bound travelers through Amsterdam.

Cabin Experience

Singapore Airlines’ 2013 First Class product features a single row configuration with just four seats in a 1-2-1 layout, offering exclusivity and privacy.

Each seat converts into a wide, fully flat bed, complemented by premium bedding and fine dining.

The “Book the Cook” service will also be extended to First Class passengers from Amsterdam once the Boeing 777-300ER takes over the route.

This allows travelers to pre-select meals curated by the airline’s international culinary panel.

KrisFlyer Redemption Rates

The Singapore to Amsterdam route is available for KrisFlyer redemptions, though Saver award availability is limited.

  • Until 31 October 2025
    • First Class: 141,000 (Saver), 225,500 (Advantage) miles
  • From 1 November 2025
    • First Class: 148,000 (Saver), 259,500 (Advantage) miles

These increases reflect Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer program devaluation effective late 2025. While Advantage awards are widely available, travelers will hope for occasional Saver award openings to make the most of their miles.

Wider First Class Network

With the return of First Class on the Singapore to Amsterdam route, Amsterdam becomes the 19th city in the network to regain access to this premium cabin.

Before the pandemic, 22 destinations were regularly served by Singapore Airlines First Class or Suites.

Other European cities offering First Class in 2026 include Frankfurt (FRA), Zurich (ZRH), London Heathrow (LHR), and Paris (CDG).

This selective restoration underscores the airline’s strategy to deploy its premium products where demand and prestige justify them.

Bottom Line

Singapore Airlines (SQ) will restore First Class service to Amsterdam (AMS) from July 2026, operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The move reintroduces a premium travel experience for the first time in a decade, complete with “Book the Cook” dining and an intimate 4-seat cabin.

While KrisFlyer redemptions face higher mileage rates, the reinstatement strengthens Amsterdam’s position as a key European gateway for Singapore Airlines’ premium passengers.
