DOHA- Qatari flag carrier, Qatar Airways (QR) flight from Hamad International Airport, Doha (DOH) to Paris (CDG) made an emergency landing in Erbil (EBL) on December 25, 2024.
As per the current schedule, Qatar Airways operates one daily flight between Doha and Paris using Boeing 777 aircraft.

According to FlightRadar24 data, Qatar Airways flight took off from Doha at 12:39 PM UTC. After being airborne for around two hours, the flight declared an emergency.
As per unconfirmed sources, the cabin crew reported a medical issue with the passenger and following this, they decided to divert immediately to a nearby airport.
The flight landed safely at Erbil at 2:44 PM UTC. The flight was operated by Boeing 777-300ER, registered as A7-BEX. Further, it remained on the ground for over two hours and took off again at 5:12 PM UTC.
After being airborne for around seven hours, the flight landed safely in Paris at 9:33 PM UTC.
The airline has not issued any statement yet and there is no official confirmation from the airline.

The four-year-old Airbus A350-1000, registered as A7-ANO, departed Doha International Airport at 11:45 PM UTC. The flight crew reported medical issues after approximately four hours in flight, prompting the unscheduled landing at Kolkata Airport at 4:15 AM UTC.
The aircraft remained on the ground for two hours while attending to the medical situation. Flight QR806 resumed its journey at 6:10 AM UTC and completed its route to Tokyo Narita, landing at 11:42 AM UTC.
While medical diversions create operational challenges for airlines, this incident created an unexpected opportunity for aviation enthusiasts.
The emergency landing brought Kolkata’s first glimpse of the advanced A350-1000 aircraft, turning a medical necessity into a historic aviation moment for the airport.
