LONDON- UK flag carrier British Airways (BA) is set to replace its Airbus A380 service to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) with the more modern Airbus A350-1000 starting March 30, 2025.
British Airways operates Airbus A380 aircraft on routes connecting London Heathrow (LHR) with multiple international destinations. These cities include Boston (BOS), Dallas-Fort Worth, Johannesburg (JNB), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), San Francisco (SFO), Singapore (SIN), and Washington, DC (IAD).
British Airways A380 Flights
The new flight schedule will maintain the existing route, Ishrion Aviation reported, with
- BA193 departing London Heathrow at 2:55 PM and arriving in Dallas at 6:55 PM.
- The return flight, BA192, will leave Dallas at 9:15 PM, touching down in London at 12:30 PM the following day.
Industry experts and frequent flyers are hailing this change as a significant upgrade for passengers, particularly those in business class.
The A350-1000 boasts state-of-the-art interiors, addressing complaints about the A380’s outdated cabin design. This move is expected to enhance the overall travel experience, with the A350 offering more competitive amenities and comfort levels.
Reliability is another key factor driving this decision. The A350 has demonstrated lower technical issue rates compared to the A380, potentially reducing flight disruptions and improving on-time performance.
There is possibility that some of its A380 deployed on DFW-LHR route goes for refurbishment and heavy maintenance.
The switch to the A350-1000 represents a step up from British Airways’ original plan to operate the route with a Boeing 777-200.
