Allegiant Air In-seat Power

Allegiant Air has announced that it will install USB-A and USB-C power outlets at every seat on its new 737 MAX aircraft. This means that passengers will no longer have to worry about their devices running out of battery during their journey.

Whether you need to reply to emails, watch a movie, or catch up on work, you can now do so without interruptions.

There’s a possibility of another delay in the service entry, and it appears they anticipate having only six 737 MAXs operational this year instead of the initially planned ten.

In addition to the new in-seat power outlets, Allegiant Air has expanded its 737 MAX routes to include more cities. Travelers can now enjoy flights to destinations such as Chicago (MDW), Provo (PVU), and Minneapolis (MSP) on Allegiant’s new and improved aircraft.

With these enhancements, Allegiant Air continues prioritizing customer comfort and convenience.

First Quarter 2024 Results

Allegiant Travel Company recently reported its financial results for the first quarter 2024. The airline saw a 1.0 percent increase in total operating revenue, reaching $656.4 million. Operating income, excluding specials, was $28.5 million, with an adjusted operating margin of 4.3 percent.

These results demonstrate Allegiant Air’s solid financial performance and commitment to sustainable growth.

Maurice J. Gallagher, Jr., chairman and CEO of Allegiant Travel Company, announced,

“For the quarter, we concluded with diluted earnings per share, excluding special charges, amounting to 57 cents. We observed a robust peak demand environment throughout the quarter, evidenced by TRASM’s second-best first-quarter performance in company history. Demand patterns have persisted into the second quarter. While we anticipate a decrease in TRASM compared to the peaks of 2023, we expect the second quarter TRASM to still rank among the best in company history. This is especially noteworthy considering the projected year-over-year growth of approximately six percent, particularly during the peak month of June.”

Additionally, Allegiant Air has made significant strides in expanding its customer base and improving employee relations. The airline enrolled 540,000 new Allways Rewards members in the first quarter, bringing the total number of members to 17.9 million.

Furthermore, Allegiant recently ratified a new five-year agreement with the Transport Workers Union of America, AFL-CIO Local 577, which includes wage increases and quality-of-life improvements for its flight attendants.
