Competitive Route
The YYZ-MCO is a highly competitive sector as almost all Canadian carriers serve it. However, the fares fluctuate based on flight timings, operator, and aircraft.
The route is served by the following airlines and aircraft:
- Air Canada Rouge deploys Airbus A321
- Similarly, Air Canada deploys A321s and A320s
- Flair Airlines serves YYZ-MCO with Boeing 737 MAX 8s (737-8)
- Porter Airlines deploys no middle-seat Embraer E195 E2 aircraft.
- WestJet uses Boeing 737 fleet
Orlando is one of the most internationally connected airports in a west coastal region, especially in Florida. As of December 2024, Orlando connects passengers to 60 International destinations with Dubai (DXB) being the longest destination. Overall, Orlando Airport handles around 600 daily flights.
Also, it’s surprising that no US carrier serves this route. However, Delta Air Lines codeshare with WestJet on this flight.
Other Air Canada US Network Changes
Air Canada recently announced direct flights to Tampa (TPA), Raleigh (RDU), and Nashville (BNA) Further it is increasing capacity to Austin (AUS), Denver (DEN), and Miami (MIA).
The airline is also expanding its cross-border services with new routes from Vancouver to Nashville and from Montreal to Cincinnati. Further, Air Canada is resuming service from Toronto to Jacksonville, the only direct flight between Canada and Jacksonville.
Air Canada continues to be the largest carrier serving the Transborder market and will offer customers more than 200 daily flights to over 45 destinations in Summer 2025.
